About Me

The picture is of our beloved girl, Mocha, whom we lost to cancer on December 17, 2008.  She was so strong and endured surgery and 7 chemo treatments and many drugs but just couldn't win the battle.  So, now we own zero animals, but we think with time we'll own another Pei.

We lost our beloved girl, Mocha, on December 17th, 2008. She fought hard, and endured surgery, seven chemo treatments and many drugs, but it just got the best of her at the tender age of 6! We miss her so much but are not ready for another yet as we are still grieving. Pei's are our favorite breed and i'm sure we'll have another one someday.

I am so sorry to hear about your news we also have a Shar pei and 2 Shelties. My little female Sheltie also has cancer and we were told we had about 2 months. One month has gone by and we notice her lump is getting bigger. We now only have approx. 1 month left so every day is a bonus. We are giving her so much love, hugs and kisses. It is a terrible thing to have to go through, I know how you feel.

Hi Jackie! I know what your going through and my heart goes out to you and your family. Yeah, lots of love, good food, hugs, and kisses is what we are giving Mocha too! She has been a trouper through all of this...surgery, 4 chemotherapy sessions, and it looks like she will make it (her oncologist didnt think she would) for another chemo treatment on the 29th of this month! She is not ready to leave this earth yet, so i'll keep giving her the treatments until i feel she's ready. I bought a great book that you might enjoy (i got it from a cancer support site) It's called "Blessing the Bridge" What animals teach us about death, dying, and beyond, by Rita M. Reynolds. This women is like a hospice care provider for all animals. She is amazing and her stories are amazing. I think it would help you and your family. Take care and keep in touch.

Michelle, I am sorry to ask you, but any chance you want to redo your beautiful introduction? I am peaking and tuning the site this weekend and realized that the best way to have members introduce themselves is to start there own topic, rather then adding to another. That way members can read JUST about you and your Pei, as well as welcome you directly within your own thread/topic. This forum is VERY new. In fact I just started it a few days ago. I think it will take many many months to get it rolling. Keep checking back and feel free to post new topics! Thanks again! Devi

Welcome to my site! thank you so much for adding an avatar picture. It's great!!! I am not entirely sure how this whole forum/members list will work, but we shall see together. It was started simply as a way to keep in touch regarding my card line, but I have several members telling me they are going to try and post questions, get answers and simply have fun with it.......Again, thanks for getting on-line!!! Hope you have a great weekend! Devi
