Ok here we go, technical help!

So -

One: I appoligize for the delay in this, I finally have some spare time so I am doing this now :) ..better late than never ;)

Two: I may miss some thing .. OR maybe a bunch! I will try to cover everything but if I miss something please let me know and I will add it on :)

Technical Help:

Well you obviously have found the forums, on the left hand side under FORUM & Discussion Group. So well done! :)

Next, you will be prompted to sign in or sign up (sorry I already did this process and cannot relive it ... I'll try my best to guess what happens)

If you haven't signed up yet, choose a username, password, etc you will now be a user to the forums :)

Now you can log in. Put in your email, and password and sign in. If you forget your password then click Forget Password. It will prompt you to put in your email, then go check your email for your log in information.

Okay, now that you are logged in, I will start from the very very top of the page. In the top right hand corner you will see a grey box that says your name and the option to sign out. If you click on your name it brings you to your profile. In your profile page it gives you the option to EDIT PROFILE.

EDIT PROFILE allows you to change your name (humm did you accidently misspell your name!? haha), change your profile image (you do got to keep those peibie pictures updated!) , you can write a blurb about yourself in the next box down, and add a signature. You can also change your password, and edit the information on your account (location, birthday, etc)

Now is a good time to talk about the box you write in (the about yourself box, and signature box). Don't know what all the buttons mean? Hover your mouse over them and it tells you. So the first one on the left is a B. Hover over it and it says BOLD. That button turns your text to bold. Next is Italics, then underline, strikethrough, increase text size, decrease text size,

  • Insert unordered list (handy for organizing!)
  • Or you can do ...
  1. An ordered list.
  2. That counts down each line :)

Next is indenting. Great for paragraphs!

And then Outdent .. (or you can hit delete on your keypad).

Align left puts the text all the way to the left.

Align center puts it in the middle

and align right puts it to the right

Oh next we get to change font style :) There are 7 syles to choose from, decisions decisions!

Next we get to change the colour! Remeber other people are reading  your post so be kind to their eyes and don't use too bright colours like this or this!

Next button removes the formatting you just did. Next button add a link, so say you wanted to add a website, you type what you want to call it - Devi's Website - and highlight it and click the Insert Link button. Now type in the website address and now that site is linked to that word and people can click on it. If you made a mistake the next button helps you by removing that link. (Highlight the link you want removed then click the Remove Link button).

Next button is the Insert Image button which is everyones favorite! Click that button and paste the URL of your image. Using a website like photobucket can help you upload them to the web and gives you the URL.

Lastly, the last button edits the HTML source, nothing you have to worry about, a bunch of techie stuff haha.

So now that you know all the buttons on the boxes, you can add a few words about yourself, and a signature. Then click Submit.

Now you are taken back to your main profile page.

Here you can post a comment on your own profile or browse all members.

Alright back to the forum page. Here is a list of different categories that topics are under, like nutrition, health, rescue, etc. On this page you can search for a specific word like a brand of food, a disease, illness, name, etc. There is a drop down on the right hand side that gives you the option of where you'd like to go in the forum.

Click on a category and you are brought to a number of topics made by members. Click one you find interesting and reply, search for something, or create your new topic.

You can also click on the member who created the topic to view their profile.

When you click on a topic you have the options of replying, and searching.

Well I hope that covers mosly everything! If I have missed anything let me know,
