It is with the greatest of sadness that I come to you today and report the passing of Mr. Sonny Tougas.

Sonny was the founder of Heatherlea. A canine training center in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada.

I first met Sonny in 1988 when I was starting my new venture of show handler! Kayn, my Rottweiler and I spent many nights learning from Sonny. Then Beau and I continued with great success.

Zephyr and I attended a few handling classes late last year (2007) and in early 2008. It was a pleasure working with Sonny again!

Sonny had was diagnoised with cancer. It is with the greatest of sadness that today, he lost his short battle. He leaves behind his wife Bobbie, a son and a legion of friends!
