I've been asked in the past, how do you pick your show dog? We need to know and understand the breed standard. The perfect shar-pei doesn't exist..and as breeder, we`re looking to produce the most perfect one that we`ll bring in the ring! This is the breed standard, as approved by the CKC on january 2006 http://www.peiclub.com/standard.htm A dog can be very nice ..but like any sport, it will need practice! You cannot become a champion, without going to handling classes. Contact your local all breed club and ask where there are handling classes or practices. Classes are for you and your dog. You`ll learn a lot there! Dog also need to enjoy it, unfortunately, some don`t..and some feel our stress at the end of the leash that we're communicating.. Tell yourself, you need to have fun, both of you!! Enjoy it!! | |
