Hi! I need advice!! Our 1 year old puppy Bentley is a hoarder.. lol.. in all seriousness he is. If we leave for any amount of time, Bentley will grab an object from each member of the house and bring it to "his spot" behind the garage. If it is raining out, he will bring it to his bed and just drop the object and go and collect another one. He doesn't chew it, he just brings it to his spot. I am a stay at home mom and am home with him daily. I noticed that if he is missing one of the children away at school, he will grab something from the laundry and bring it to his spot. He gets so much attnention, so I am confused on why he is doing it. I understand it is most likely because he is missing one of us, but I have never heard of any other dogs doing this. Our whole family was away for the holiday dinner for about 3 hours yesterday and found the largest stash to date, this morning. We have 7 people in our family, so you can imagine what he grabbed. He took clothes, blankets (and I'm taking LARGE blankets) from my son's beds. He took three pairs of my husbands shoes, and some toys from our 2 year old. Is this normal?? Any suggestions on a security item for him. Having 7 people in the house, it is hard to give him just one object.

Thank you so much for any advice you can give me. My husband and I hate to think about our dog being upset about us leaving, and would like to make it the least stressful for him as possible.
