Shar Pei Resource / bearposhsharpei Winnipeg Manitoba Canada

I have a four month old shar pei puppy and for the past two months he has had skin problems that have gotten progressively worse.  About two weeks ago he was diagnosed with Demodectic Mange and is on a daily dose of Ivermectin, but the problem only seems to get worse with scabbing on his head, swelling between his toes, and all over hair loss.  He also gets medicated baths twice a week.  I wanted to know if anyone has had any experiences with demodex and could offer me advice or supportive words.  Tank also has allergies and we don't know where they're coming from, seemingly outdoors.  With no warning he'll break out in hives and his head swells, so off to the vet we end up getting more steroid injections.  Does anyone have similar problems, suggestions, anything?  Thanks for any input!
